I have a system I am working on where the Laserfiche Server service will not start. In the event viewer log it has the error message:

There was an error from or writing to the named user database. Opcode=exec; Query="begin immediate"; Error=8; Message=attempt to write a readonly database.

Event ID 110

What would cause this issue?

Does the service user have rights to modify lfsnu.db in the Laserfiche Server's install folder?

Well, I thought it did, but apparently it did not. That fixed the issue. Thank you, Miruna.

Been there, done that. "It can't possibly be 'access denied'! It just can't!" followed by "oh. d'oh!".
