Question

Accessing Quick Fields from Laserfiche Cloud

asked on July 17, 2024

What I'm trying to do is gather data from multiple pages. From what I can find this is either done with Quick Fields or Omnipage and I can't find documentation on either to work with it. Are these options viable for Laserfiche Cloud and if so, how do I access them. If they aren't is there another tool that I can use for the same purpose?

For more information:

Below is one of the pick tickets that we receive. I'm trying to capture what's in red:

The problem is that it continues onto another page:

How do I capture that when I have an indeterminate number of pages?

Hi Jack,

Just to the question of is Quick Fields compatible with Laserfiche Cloud, yes it is. Quick Fields is included with most Laserfiche Cloud package tiers and can connect to Laserfiche Cloud systems. More information can be found at Connecting to Laserfiche Cloud From Laserfiche Windows Client and Laserfiche Quick Fields

I saw that, but I don't know how to get the Windows Client. When I go to download it the download link is faded and I can't click on it.

I also looked in the Microsoft store and couldn't find it there either.

Quick Fields is not part of the Windows Client, it's just the article I link discusses how you sign in with either of them. You don't need to download a new version of Quick Fields for working with Cloud, and you don't need the Windows Client to use Quick Fields.

That said, independent of that, the reason the button is grayed out for you is that you would need to contact your SP for access to download these components from the support site on your account.

Nope, it requires the desktop client as there are no instructions on how to reach it from the cloud site. I'll ask about who our SP is from my team.

What is an SP, btw?

Hi Jack,

Sorry for the potential confusion - by 'Windows Client' I was referring specifically to the 'Laserfiche Repository Windows Client', which is commonly called by that name, not as a catch-all for any locally installed client application. That component is not relevant for Quick Fields, which is its own separate download package. As for SP (Solution Provider), I believe we've reached out to yours to assist. Thanks!
