Question

Automate Adobe Sign External Signatures Solution

asked on July 2

I have been working with the Adobe Sign solution in the marketplace for the last two months. I have a couple of questions/issues that I am looking for assistance with. I will briefly explain the use case first and then input my questions.

We are wanting to use this solution, a portion of it at least, to help automate purchase agreements for our GIS unit. Customers submit a form that details what items they want to purchase. Upon submission the values are calculated and saved into a db. This is the point where Laserfiche comes in. We are using workflow to query the db and fill-in the pdf to create the document. At this point we are invoking the signature workflows that come with this solution to create the agreement and send it for signatures. This has worked in a simple manner for us. However, the final solution requires a tad bit more complexity. Any given agreement will have between 4-6 users needing to sign or approve (2 approvers always and 1-3 external signers, 1 internal executive signer). Another kicker is the department we are working with does not want to obtain a license so I am creating a solution that creates the agreement and sends for signature and will email the final document to an inbox they monitor.

Out of the box when using the solution, unless using the Adobe Sign UI function, every signature field on the pdf is automatically assigned to the 1st signer/approver. With this I am trying to figure out how to assign additional users specific roles and more importantly I would like to assign each person a specific signature field.

I have created a template to use as a test but the path that uses the Template is failing when the API call fails to find the template in my test account.

I have even tried to create the agreement using the Adobe Sign UI function, that I hoped would allow me to craft the agreement as I need. Then we can, from an admin side of Adobe, read the JSOC content to recreate the complex agreement I want.

Hoping somebody can help as I am not sure Laserfiche provides support for the solutions listed in the Marketplace.

I haven't used this before but I know it should be supported automatically by AdobeSign and the integration. The difficulty may be in supporting N signers. Either way, try out these template tags when generating the document
