I just observed now on closer look that when i type all the way to the end of the line and it breaks to the next line, there is no indentation. But when i press enter to go to the next line, the indentation is there.  So it seems to be a kind of default paragraph issue.

Is the file generated from a form with Save to repository step?  Can you show how it look like when filling the multi-line field?

Thank you Zhiyong.

The output document is  generated from a form  using create entry activity

When you type in the multiline field, there is no indent at all. It is the generated document that is indented in the places where Multi line field is used. If you look at the attached image of the letter, you will notice that the address section is indented from the second line. That address section uses a multi line field. And it adds the indent for all fields that uses multi line field

well, Create Entry is an activity of workflow? So you are actually using workflow to generate the document instead of Forms STR step? And you seems to be using the new form designer instead of classic form designer. It could be after workflow is retrieving data from a Forms multi line field and set it to the document in Create Entry activity, the indent is added already. I can't tell for sure if it's a Forms bug or Workflow bug or design issue, but if you want a workaround, I think you can break the multi-line field into several single line fields, since it's for an address. Then in workflow retrieve these single line fields and combine them in your document.

I use form to create the address field, content, signature, closing field etc but workflow uses find and replace entry and create entry to output the data captured in forms to a pdf document

Its not only the address field that behaves like that, Its all the fields using Multi line

Address and Multi-line are two different type of fields, which one are you using?

Hey Adeyemi,

When inputting the address into the multiline field, is it usually typed or copy-pasted from somewhere else?

It is typed and never copied. And even while typing, and you get to the second line, there is no indent at all. The Indent only shows up in the output document. I was hoping there is some css once can use on the multiline field to clear any Indentation or formatting.
