I currently have a customer requesting the ability to hide metadata fields from the PublicPortalUser account. Testing has confirmed that denying access rights to fields or templates does not actually remove visibility on documents. Ideally, they would want to completely hide the metadata panes on both the file browser and in the document viewer. Support has informed me that there is currently no way to do this in Cloud, though I have seen solutions for how to do this in an on-prem setup. It would be nice if this functionality could be added.
