Current User option missing from field rules

We've a Forms process with three variants of the same form. On one of the variants, the option to choose "current user" is missing from the dropdown. It's available on the other two versions.

Is the Current User variable on the form in question?

Blake, I think you've got it. For some reason I was thinking that the Current User was a system/process variable. I blame not enough sleep for not realizing it was one of my own variables.
