Question

Changing User Task Name Never Saves

asked on June 10

One of our Forms processes has several user task events in it as well as over 10,000 active instances. I have been able to rename most of the user tasks in the process, but when I try to change the name of the user task with the most active instances assigned to it and then save, it never finishes saving.

From looking at the other user tasks that I have updated the name of, I am guessing there is a stored procedure or something else that is going through all of the instances at that step and updating the user task names accordingly. Is there a SQL query that I can run myself to get this to update?

We are using Forms version 11.0.2311.50564.

Hi, this issue has been fixed on Forms 12: It should be fast when saving the process diagram.

You can see other changes from: Laserfiche 12 Changelog

Any correlated event logs? I'd particularly be looking for SQL Query Execution Timeout errors.

I do not see any correlated logs.

I'd file a support case then. If this is a multi-server Forms setup, make sure you've checked the logs on all relevant Forms instances.

I tried again late last night, and it finally saved and updated the instances that were assigned to that user task.
