Question

Self Hosted Laserfiche API login passlist/blocklist

asked on June 5, 2024

Is there a way to specific which users can access the repository via the API?

We would like to only have 1 user have access to the API so either blocking all others or placing the one user on a passlist would be great.

Additionally, being able to specify which repositories (which one repository) is available to any api user would be wonderful.

When you create your API call with Self-Hosted systems you specify a username or password. That user can be a Laserfiche repository user, a Laserfiche Directory Server user, or a Windows domain user. Security is set based on the user that is being used in the API call.

There is really no way to lock down who can actually use the API.

Since access is based on the user being used in the API call, you can dictate which repository that user has access to.
