I have Forms report that facilitates processing many forms in by grouping them in batches where the team member needs a direct link back to the form for each item in the group to do additional data entry. This team member cannot have business process manager rights. The closest I have been able to get to a smooth workflow with a report is by creating a working url to get the user back to the correct instance ID in their team inbox. However, getting this link to work in the report in one click for the user has been troublesome.
The things I've tried are:
- Creating an custom html value ←Not supported by reports
- Creating a single line calculated value with html a tag ←does not render as a url in the report.
- Creating a rich text field with a calculated url linked ←this shows a "View Content" link in the report and then opens a web page with the url. Three clicks and an extra tab for my user to get back to the form; not ideal but it does function.
- Download the excel file and create an =HYPERLINK(cell) calculation on the url field.← OK for large batches of forms.
My user processes hundreds of these forms a week, minimizing the number of clicks is preferred.
Ideas to get this to a one or two click process instead of three?
Feature requests:
Add a Go to Current Task link as a reportable field option to reports.
Support a hyperlink field type where the field's url can be dynamically calculated or support =Hyperlink({Field}) in single line calculation that can be leveraged in reports
Add a "Stakeholders" role to the Access Rights in forms. Essentially a read only version of the business process manager that can see into the Monitor processes but can't do anything other than click view submission form links.
On prem, Laserfiche Forms 11.0.2311.50553, Forms are built in the new Forms Designer
Much appreciated,
