Question

How to get an email notification to send to each email added in a collection?

asked on June 5, 2024

I am making a form currently where the requester wants a collection where name, email, etc. can be put in for each study personnel. Once the form is submitted, they want an email sent to each personnel listed in this collection. Is there a way to do this?

When putting the collection email variable as the "send to", it'll only send to the first email listed in the collection.

Thank you for any help!

Have you tried putting the collection email variable in the BCC field? That seems to be working for me.

When I tried putting it in the "assign to" field, my process was suspended.

If you need the receiver to complete a form, I would then link to a new/separate business process in the email.

If you can use a table, the email variable will work in the Send to.

Yes, ive tested in Cloud and can confirm the use of an email list from a collection does indeed loop through and send a message to each recipient in the list. Prior to finding this post, id tried to build a semi colon separated list in a single line field and that was suspending.  This advice from Angela is the way to go, thanks Angela.
