Hello,

I am trying to understand what happens if a form is assigned to me with a 7-day action deadline, but I don't take any action within that period. Specifically, I know where the deadline is set, but I am not sure where the settings are for determining what action to take when the form expires.

Could you please help me better understand this process?

Be default there is no action that happens. You can attach a timer event to the user task and use the deadline date to then take a route.

If that's the case then will the task remain in my queue after the expiration date/time or will it disappear?

It will remain.

It will depend on how you set your timer event attached to the user task. You can set it to interrupt or not to.

so just to make sure I am understanding this correctly, I currently don't have the timer event in my process and that means that the task will remain in the queue even after it expires.
