Question

Access denied. [9013] Routed Entry Access Rights

asked on May 18, 2024

Hi all,

I have a workflow that send shortcuts to one route or multi on the same time depending on the choices the User select from a filed type list and it is working perfectly the problem is the user  receiving the shortcut dose not have the rights to open the entry even when i have an assign right giving it the necessary rights.

  your help is appreciated.

I believe you need to assign access to both the shortcut and the document itself. Are they able to see the shortcut and prompted the access denied when opening?

Are you assigning rights to the shortcut or the document itself?

This is correct. A shortcut is merely a reference to the real entry. The metadata, pages, edoc, etc are all part of the entry proper, and access for that must be granted on the entry itself. A shortcut has very few permissions that can be enforced separate from the entry, and that list includes things like browse (whether it shows up in a listing), rename, move and delete.
