Read but no Browse Access Right

asked on May 13, 2024

If a user only has a "read" access right to a folder and the documents within it (NO "browse") and a link to a document URL in that folder is sent to them by email, if they click the BACK button after opening the document, will it simply show a blank screen since they have no browse right? Below is what the folder, subfolder, and document shows when I enter a user's name in the group this setting is for.

p.s. is the ability for admins to truly impersonate a user going to come with Version 12?

I was able to get the answer to this by asking a user in the access group to share her screen with me and she was able to see the document via the link provided, but not the subfolder it was in, which was the goal.
