Question

Question

Workflow instances

asked on May 10, 2024 Show version history

Hi All,

Scenario: We are performing  testing and as part of that workflow scenario we stop workflow window service and are analysing the impact on the new documents that would arrive in Laserfiche.

Workflow has create document rule.

Question:

Do the already ingested documents in Laserfiche would get processed once the workflow service is brought live?

Regards,

Arjun

You want to test to run a workflow which has a Create Entry activity and others to see the service stop effect, right? If the workflow is running when you  stop Laserfiche Workflow Service, after you start Workflow service again, the workflow will be in waiting status to wait for service processing. Later it will be successful processed. So if the service stops before the create entry activity, after service restart, the create entry activity will be processed successfully.

When documents got created during Workflow service down time, these created documents still trigger the workflow whose starting rule is entry created.
