This is a cool idea. I think it would also be nice if we had the ability to do that for columns or even just to limit the action to a specific stage.

I'm not sure what the best UI approach is for rows/columns, but maybe a toggle you can enable to highlight the rows/columns you want auto spaced, which could also allow multiple selections.

For stages it could be as simple as an additional auto space option in the context menu.
