Hi all,
Just a bit stuck here, when I try and read a csv with Retrieve document text, I get nothing. However if I upload as a txt file it works.
How do I get it to read my CSV?

I am on prem here, I'm trying to find the 'generate text checkbox' I'm looking in my forms config for the option.
Sorry to be a pain, when you say client options dialog is this in the forms configuration or repository configuration?
Thanks!
The client (either Windows Client or Web Client) is where the individual users access the repository, so it is not a configuration area.
If the CSV file is being added to the repository via a Forms process, then I believe you need to check which user Forms is using to create the document in the repository, log into the client with that user, and change the Options for that user. Although I’m not 100% certain on that.
Does your CSV file have text generated for it?
A text file is native text, so when added to the repository, the system just says "this is text" and puts it into the text of the page.
But a CSV file is most likely being considered an electronic document, so it won't populate the text of the page unless you have enabled it to do that. You need to make sure the option to "Generate Searchable Text" is included. In the Windows client, I have a checkbox option when importing the document whether or not to "Generate Searchable Text", and I can also right-click on the document after it is imported and select to do it.
You can also dictate these options in the Client Options dialog (in the Windows Client: Tools > Options > New Documents > Settings > When importing documents: > Generate searchable text)
Is the generate text checkbox checked on import?
I have not had a problem reading text from the .csv extension in on-prem
