Our Purchasing Department has a very frequent need to upload documents to websites. Since the documents are accessible to the users only in the UI, browse will not work. Both of the sites this need exists for support "drag and drop". This will not work on the web client so we were thinking of having the user use the desktop client. To test this out we shared our screen via Teams, granted her control, had her log into the website, drag and drop a test document from the desktop client on our machine. For one website, this worked. For another, it accepted the dropped document, uploaded two copies instead of just the one, and content of the document was not available (file size read 0KB)??? I can't imagine users having to save documents that exist in LF to their desktop or a windows folder just to upload them. Is there a way to achieve this that I have not considered?

"Drag and Drop" Documents from Repository to Website

If you are getting a different result dragging the document from the client to your desktop than you are dragging it from the client into an upload field on a web form, then that is likely more to do with how that field on the web form is set-up than how Laserfiche is handling the document, and thus probably not anything you'll be able to control within Laserfiche.
If you're getting the same behavior with both the desktop and with the upload field, then it may be due to the type of document you are exporting from the client. Here's the Windows Client help documentation on dragging documents out of the client:
