Trying to understand Invoke Business Process

Hi all, 

I've solved my problem but I just want to understand how it works more. Basically I am using workflow to prepopulate a table in forms. In this example I fill the test token with my name a few times.

If I add a workflow task in the forms business process. this works fine.

However if I use the workflow to Invoke the Business process, with the same steps it does not push the data to the table.

 

What am I missing here?

Oop figured it out, I needed to fill the invoke business process with the token data!

It's not clear to me what you're trying to do. Invoke Business Process starts a new instance of a Forms business process. If you need Workflow to return values to a business process already in progress, then you want to have a service task in the business process that calls your workflow and a Set Business Process Variables activity in that workflow that would push data back to the calling business process instance.

Yes, I am trying to distribute some forms based on some info from a datasource that users can respond to. Just wanted to have the forms preloaded with data
