Question

Disable third party cookies in Laserfiche Weblink

asked on January 19, 2024

A customer of ours is asking if it is possible to possible to disable third party cookies in Laserfiche – specifically in Weblink.

Google chrome is phasing out third party cookies this year and they are trying to see what they need to do to accommodate this in Laserfiche.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

In a normal setup, there are no 3rd party cookies in WebLink. The page only connects to the "origin" server, and there are no 3rd party servers involved.

If you have WebLink iframed in a page hosted on a different domain, that's a situation where you may need to experiment to see if there are problems. WebLink will need to receive session cookies, and in that setup it might be considered a 3rd party. Chrome usually has a feature flag to let you try out upcoming changes ahead of full release.
