Question

Client app timeout vs web link timeout

asked on January 18, 2024

Is it possible to exclude someone who is using the full laserfiche client for scanning and such from the timeout limit while still maintaining a timeout for sessions through the weblink? Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

There is an idle timeout setting for each repository in the repository settings that can be set and a separate one for WebLink that can be set in the WebLink Designer.

Forgive the dumb question - what's the default login for the designer page?

I'm running into a situation where the idle timeout for weblink, specifically, isn't working. It's not disconnecting idle connections.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WebLink. Some session timeout problems were fixed in November 2024.

Miruna,

I recently updated our weblink to 11.0.2307.136. Prior to updating to that version, we had the w3wp crashes that have been documented. Now, the crashes have stopped. The issue we're running into now are the weblink web sessions are not timing out, and disconnecting, with the idle timer. This causes issues with our licensing and we hit the limit, therefore, blocking anyone else unless we manually intervene and disconnect sessions via the admin console.
