If I didn't renew my License

posted on January 11 Show version history

We purchased on-premises Laserfiche server and workflow and SDK, and the license will expire and there is no budget to renew.

Does the Laserfich App will stop and the users cant access their tasks and document?

We confirmed that your licenses are not expiring. We'll ask your Solution Provider to reach out directly with more assistance.

If my License expired, must I renew the license to use the application, or it will stay working?

You purchased a perpetual product, so the license will not expire; however, if the support plan is not renewed, you will not be able to get new updates and releases going forward. We are in touch with your Solution Provider and should have more detailed information specific to your implementation soon.

Check with your VAR right away as they can help you determine what options you have for your last renewal period.

Just make sure to have an exported copy of everything including the metadata before your LSAP expires as you have no support and something might fail in the future.  You can export all the metadata to Excel, with a full path reference, from the search screen and download all the documents to Windows in one go using the Windows Client.

This is a capex system.

Do you mean by capex lifetime license?

Hi Mohammad,

Depending on what licensing model you're using will depend on the behaviour. If you've bought a subscription system, the system will cease to function in any way once the license expires. Capex system will continue to function regardless if the software maintenance is paid/current.

To check, if you load LFDS and check the overview tab, if you see an expiry date in here, you know this is a subscription system.

Hope this helps!
