Delete documents, metadata, forms attachments and workflow instance data

Hi All,

 

We have a requirement from our client to remove or delete all documents with credit card data (incl. its metadata) from their DEV repository running in the DEV environment due to compliance reasons. The client has used these documents with Laserfiche forms (attachments), Workflow and Import Agent applications for testing purposes. 

My approach is to 

  1. Delete the DEV repo volume
  2. Clean Laserfiche Forms database with uploaded attachment
  3. Not sure how to manually delete all workflows (completed and terminated) instance data. Workflow has been configured to delete instance data for completed workflows to 30 days.

 

Could you please suggest the best approach to achieve this without losing any setup configuration?

You can shorten the retention period for Workflow and it will clean out instances. Or, Tech Support can give you a tool that will remove instances from the database for specific workflows.

You can delete instances directly from the user interface in Forms.

And worth repeating for other readers, storing credit card data makes you subject to stringent PCI DSS compliance. The preferred solution is to integrate with payment gateways so they handle card storage and compliance and no card data ever touches your own servers.
