I can not make sense of this error I get when trying to save a workflow and nothing is marked red on my activities. I have no activity called DELETEJOBS or anything similar.

I think that's what it's saying, It can't find an Activty name DeleteJobs that is referenced in the Workflow. Maybe it was there previously? As the Workflow tool is web-based I have seen a couple things like thios in the past. Refresh the whole page or leave and return to see if it forgets the reference.
I restored the workflow and found you must delete activities in a specific order, but it does not make this clear and lets you delete anything out of order.
You must delete For Each activities before deleting the activity they are attached to and you must save in between, just deleting them in the correct order alone does not work.
If you delete anything in the wrong order and save, you can never recover.
I think I'd report that under Feedback as it almost appears to be "Unintended Behavior"
