LF Client installation update question

asked on December 12, 2023

This is a 2 part question.

1. What is the easiest way to install LF client? I'm asking because I have a helpdesk team doing these installs for me. It's great, except they are downloading the massive iso file from a shared drive to my user's computer to get the installer. What is the bare minimum that is needed to install LF client on a workstation? Is it the 'en\WindowsClient folder'? How could I set this up better for my helpdesk team?

2. When doing a client update from 232 to 11.0.2301.262, the installer only shows a couple of options. Modify, Repair, or Remove. Will modify or Repair bump up the version or do they need to do a remove and then reinstall the client to get it updated?

Thank you in advance.

ISO is a packaging format just like ZIP or RAR or physical CDs. So you should only need to download it once, mount it and copy its contents to a shared drive. Then you can run the installer directly over the network without having to copy it locally to each machine.

For the second one, assuming you meant 11.0.2103.223 when you said "232", that's expected if you're running the MSP file to patch to 11.0.2301.262. "Repair" will apply the patch.
