Datacentre Migration Steps

Hi,

We have a client who will be migrating to a new datacentre.  Within this migration will be their LF servers too (LFDS, LF, Web, Workflow and File Storage, etc).  Can anyone share how they have completed this for similar projects?

I am thinking that a manual migration (not in place) is the best option. 

We plan to deactivate LFDS on current datacentre prior to migration and then complete the migration to new datacentre, reactivate LDFS and subsequent modules (LF Sever, Workflow, Forms, etc) update UNC paths for repositories/volumes.  How does this sound?

Hi Chris,

 

I did see this earlier, but didn't see any reference to LFDS server so was apprehensive about following it.

Ah yes I see. Your steps in the original post will cover off LFDS. Just make sure you deactivate before you try and move it, and you'll be fine smiley
