Yes. Please note that Laserfiche does not proactively test every version of our software that supports a given major SQL Server version for compatibility with every Cumulative Update (CU) Microsoft releases. That would be a massive testing burden. We generally expect Microsoft to not introduce breaking changes to their flagship database engine and patch them quickly if they do.
Accordingly, unless specifically noted otherwise*, Laserfiche software is supported on/compatible with all SPs/CUs of its supported SQL Server major versions. I searched our support case database and didn't find any reported issues about using SQL Server 2017 CU31.
We always recommend reading CU patch notes to check for any relevant warnings about potential breaking changes. If you have a test environment, it's standard good practice deploy updates there first and run through some smoke tests to validate that nothing major is broken before deploying the update to Production. I typically log into a repository, upload, view, and download a document, kick off a workflow, and submit a test form.
*The only exception I'm aware of is Forms 10.4 and above requiring SQL Server 2014 SP3 or higher.
