Dropdown Field not displaying the Value

We are trying to display the saved data from Table. We have a dropdown to display the grades

 

The dropdown is not showing the assigned choice, it is displaying only the value. As in the picture it is showing 16 in the field instead of Excellent.

Did you configure the lookup rules? I think it is expected behavior as dropdown is filled by lookup rule return values

When you configure a dropdown field to use a lookup rule, it does not translate the values being passed to match up with what you have configured with the field itself, like your screenshot shows. You must pass the value in the lookup rule that you want to display to the end user. You are essentially always passing the "Choices" values when using a lookup rule. There is no way to pass "Values".
