Question

Client VS WebLink

asked on November 14, 2023

So, I have a group of people that are read only users and they are using the weblink version (and I use it too when I am doing the same type of work), but the weblink view is always blurry and to read it you need to zoom in so much.  Attached is the side by side view.  Even though the client version is much smaller, you can still read the words, in the weblink version it is really difficult and gives me a headache.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this issue?

It could be a browser issue.  Here's an interesting thread on the topic.

Wow, both of those are really blurry.  What density (dpi) are you using on the scanning platform?  I would check that your scanners are defaulting to at least 300 dpi.

That is a form saved from Laserfiche Forms.

When saving the form are you saving it as a TIFF or in another format?

Importing from Forms, not scanning.

We are on WebLink version 11.0.2307.136 and I can't replicate the issue. Not sure if upgrading would solve your issue or not.

I noticed today if I tell the form to print from the web client, and it renders on a new screen, that renders rather well, much better than when it is in the client...  I wonder if a feature request to "open" in separate window would be beneficial.

It does seem like a browser issue, but it is bad in every browser I use.  Was bad on my co-workers machine too.
