Question

Using a variable for input in a usertask in a Laserfiche Business Process

asked on November 13, 2023

Hello,

I have created a look up table with usernames and their emails. I am bringing the emails to my forms using a look up rule to populate a field. I am trying to use the variable of this particular field as the input for the user task like in the screen shot below.

However this method is not working for me. Like after a form is submitted i am not receiving a new task in the account for the approvers email. Looking for some help understanding this or resolving this.

Thank you.

That field is expecting username (or usernames for multiple user assignment) - so it wouldn't work properly with an email field.

Are you able to do an additional field with your lookup that returns their username in addition to the email address?

Great, but what variable did you end up passing? :)

It been a while since I was working on this issue but I think, I had to create a hidden field that captured the account user names and passed the variable for that field here in the process.
