Question

DCC Page Generation Missing PDF Fields

asked on November 6, 2023

I have a Workflow that fills out a PDF form based on LF Forms values. I create a blank document, attach the PDF Template (which is saved as a Server Object) and use the Fill Out PDF From activity. This all works. And if I manually click the "Generate Pages" button, I can generate TIFF Pages. BUT when I send this doc to the Distributed Computing Cluster, it generates pages, but the Field Values are blank. Except for the checkboxes, which still get filled in (though I noticed the checks looked different). The DCC says the job completed successfully, and TIFFs do generate, but these values are consistently blank on the TIFF. The PDF aspect works, but the client wants the docs to save as TIFFs, which we can't do if we can't generate the pages accurately.

When generated from DCC:

When generated manually:

The actual PDF:

Hi Christopher,

What's the configuration of 'Merge the field content into the image' option on 'Fill Out PDF Form' step in your workflow?

Though I am not sure why, in my test, if the option is not checked, page generated by DCC will not have PDF field value; if it is checked, PDF field value will be preserved in page generated by DCC.
