Question

Has anyone used powershell to run Repository Consistency Checker

asked on October 24, 2023 Show version history

Happy Fall Ya'll!!

Has anyone used powershell to run the Repository Consistency Checker or do you know if it is possible?  Is there a command line for the Laserfiche Repository Consistency Checker?

We have over 11TB of data and we have never run the Repository Consistency Checker before and we have a few missing files.  So we want to be able to run the checker nightly on rotating volumes.

Thanks!!  Have a great day!!

Sue

Hi Sue,

I'd recommend reaching out to Laserfiche Support (through your Solution Provider) to request the updated Repository Consistency Checker utility (not available for download on the support site) and inquire if it has command line parameters you can/should use to invoke through PowerShell.

Thank you Samuel.  I have.  We have run the checker on all our volumes, thanks to our support  (MCCi). He is monitoring this post to see if there is upper level support I believe.

So what does Laserfiche recommend for organizations that need to make sure data has not had data compromised without being able to run regular checks?

I would definitely start by enabling Volume Checksums on all your volumes if you haven't already.
