Forms lookup not updating as data changes

I have noticed that on Lookup rules in the new designer, the data doesnt update in the form as it changes in SQL from the pull.  The form holds the original data pull but doesn't change in future steps as the data changes.  Is there a workaround for this?

Angela, do you experience something different in the Classic Designer? From my recollection that's how it's always behaved because after the initial lookup and form submission, the variable values are set and populated.
