Question

No file extension in document names when importing from LST file

asked on September 8, 2023

Hello community,
I have already check the box "Retain file extensions in electronic document names", but after importing electronic documents from LST file, file extensions are omitted in document names. This issue is happening when using LF Client 9.2 and LF Client 10.4 on Laserfiche Server 10.4.

Is there any action I could do in order to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

There's an optional parameter for DocumentName after the path, so you would just add a comma and the name you want.

How is the data configured in the LST files? LST and XML import files include instructions for how files are imported, and I'm pretty sure they override/bypass client import settings.

For example, if you configure an Import Agent profile that imports LST/XML files, the configuration in the LST/XML takes precedence over the settings for the Import Agent profile.

As a result, if you want files to have a certain name then it should probably be set that way in the LST.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your answer, the data is configured as below example:

LASERFICHE IMPORT LIST
FOLDERS(001)
STARTFIELDS
Template_Name
FieldValue01
FieldValue02
FieldValue03
FieldValue04
FieldValue05
FieldValue06
ENDFIELDS
ELECTRONIC(\\server\sharefolder\path0\path1\filename.extension)

...

...

Is there any command I am missing in LST file?
