Weblink - Accessibility Law for Persons with Disabilities

asked on August 17, 2023 Show version history

Our city is taking measures to comply with Colorado House Bill HB21-1110. https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb21-1110

From what we have seen, it looks like Weblink is not accessible, therefore not compliant, with the State of Colorado. Does anyone have experience with this or can you offer any insight? This is all new to me, but I would like to ensure that the records we have on Weblink (and weblink itself), is compliant or plans to be in the near future. We have a strict deadline of July 1, 2024!

It relates to all technology, hardware, and software, that is both public-facing and internal-facing. This includes any technology provided by or procured by a government entity that is used by the public or used by a government entity employee. This technology includes but is not limited to websites, applications, kiosks, digital signage, documents, video, audio, and third-party tools.

You can find our current accessibility information at https://www.laserfiche.com/legal/accessibility/ , including a document specifically about WebLink.
