Update Business Process Status - Not seeing the change in template data

I am utilizing the marketplace Contract Management workflow.  It works really well except for one small issue - it will not update the New Contract - Update Business Process Status workflow with the correct status.

 

What's even more confusing is - I am not sure what this workflow does.  As the status of the contract is correctly shown in the metadata:

 

For whatever reason, it sits in workflow after seeing that the contact is "draft in progress" - but as the contract progresses, it doesn't see the additional statuses.  It is set to find the contract based on the %Entry ID

 

Currently how it sits - waiting for something that has already been completed:

 

I appreciate any insight - or if I just need to disable this workflow and remove it from kicking off in forms.

If you click over to the Conditions tab, it should show you the last condition evaluation and why it's still waiting for the entry change.

So the condition was satisfied that the field change is "draft in progress" - but as the contract progresses, it should have hit the next condition under "Send to Preliminary Review"
