Feature Request: Display all buttons on Form Designer for configuration

asked on July 27, 2023

I love that we can now configure field rules on the action buttons and on the next and previous buttons, but I ran into a problem today where I have a form with a large number of field rules and I wasn't certain if I had already set up hiding on the Submit button. I found myself scrolling through the field rules on the side and searching for one that affects the Submit button (and yes, I have since realized that I could have searched easily on the separate Field Rules page).

I would like to be able to see every button currently enabled within the Forms Designer. Each button would be selectable to display the rules and configuration options assigned specifically to that button, with Control-Click for Next and Previous.

Specific buttons would only show up if they are in use in the process; if one of the stages uses the Approve button, it will show up to be configured, as would any custom button that was assigned to any particular stage.

Hi @████████ we definitely agree. A similar feature request here was submitted and we’ve combined the features you described! Soon, you’ll be able to effortlessly toggle between steps to preview your form, and see all relevant field rules and submission action buttons for each step of the process.

This feature is scheduled for release in our 08 cloud update and the end-of-year update for self-hosted systems. Let us know how it works for you!

Aah; thanks! I see the overlap, but it didn't come up on my search since it was requested from a different angle.

We're self-hosted. I look forward to the update!
