Is There a Way to Set Import Default Template for All Repository Users?

Hi Everyone! 

Julia here - Our team is just finalizing our repository/user set up prior to rolling it out to all staff and we're a bit stumped on this one... 

We have certain folders that will only ever have one type of document being imported to them, and as such we're looking to have the settings to be <use parent folder's template> wherever applicable. I've found where to do this for my own End User account (shown below) but I'm wondering if there's a way we can have this selected for all users prior to the roll out?

Hello!

User Attributes will be your friend!

Set it on your account, Download and import into everyone group.

Process Explained:

You can set it on your own account and export it from: Waffel>Repo Admin>User> Select User Account>Attributes>Select Attribute>Download

Waffel>Repo Admin>Everyone> Attributes>Import

Now eveyone will have the "Use Parent template" setting

One other thing to be mindful of.. User atttributes are in both the Windows and Web clients of Laserfiche.

I seem to recall that you do not want to mix them.

Meaning if you export a attribute from the admin console that covers the Windows Client - Thick Application.

For the Web Client - Use the Web Admin Console to export and import your User Attributes.
