You are importing your image as an electronic document rather than an image page. The web client does not have a preview for images as electronic documents.

I uploaded the same way as pdf. How do I force as a 'regular' document like the pdf?

It is a regular document, though likely not what you're expecting.

The web client only supports previewing certain types of electronic documents and images as electronic documents are not supported.

Images can only be loaded as a preview when they are imported as image pages. The API does not currently support importing images as image pages.

We released v2 late last year with support for Text, Image, and EDoc entry types.

Sorry, I was referring to Cloud. We are still determining a release timeline for V2 for Self-Hosted customers.
