Laserfiche OneDrive Business Import Integration Error

asked on July 21, 2023

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help on the best way to achieve OneDrive integration with a Laserfiche Repository. Users are unable to upload folder to LF from their OneDrive on their PC as the files are not downloaded offline and are only downloaded when manually requested. This means that uploading of files from OneDrive fails unless all the documents are on disk.

I seen that integration was available for the Web Client so I have been trying to setup the Cloud Import Services for OneDrive Business. I have added the application in the Azure Development portal and added these credentials to the web client. I now receive the option when importing files and users can view the contents off their OneDrive...

However when importing the following error occurs:

Has anyone seen this issue before? Any assistance is appreciated, Thank you

Christian

Hi Christian, it seems your configuration and usage is correct then. I think it is better to open a support case so that the team can investigate and troubleshooting what occurs in the application.

Hello Christian,

The integration supports importing files from Onedrive to Laserfiche repository in Web Client, you have to go to Web Client:

  • In the folder browser, click the Import button, or right-click and select Import
  • Perform one of the following:
  • Click Upload and select one or more files to upload, then click Open.
  • Select a cloud import service (Google Drive, OneDrive, or OneDrive for Business). The first time you select this option, you will be prompted to allow Laserfiche to access information in this account. Select the file or files you want to import and click Import.

If you are trying to open the link directly, it will not work. The message indicates that "only supports opening from Web Client".

The reference is Importing Documents (laserfiche.com).

Hi Huazhen,

Thanks for your reply!

I receive this page when i go to the web client and then click Import > One Drive Business, i am given the page in my screenshot above. However when clicking import it states i must be using web client... I followed the instructions in the one drive web client services configuration here https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/11/administration/en-us/Default.htm#../Subsystems/WAConfiguration/Content/import-services.htm?TocPath=Web%2520Client%2520Administration%257CConfiguring%2520the%2520Laserfiche%2520Web%2520Client%257CConfiguration%2520Page%257CServices%257C_____2

Did you ever get this working?

@████████ no unfortunately. We decided that the integration was not going to fulfil our requirement as it is limited when it comes to shared drives etc. We settled for downloading documents locally from the one drive client before dragging into LF.
