Forms 11 update 3: Should a draft be present when task restarted?

asked on July 14, 2023 Show version history

Question: if an instance has been completed and I restart the last step, should the draft be restarted with it? Or is the draft lost at that point?

Example:

I did not see the 'restart' feature mentioned in the help files. Also did not see anything specific to this here on Answers.

Thank you in advance friends!

We have used the restart feature quite a few times and have never seen a Draft get restarted with it. I believe this is because once you complete a user task there is no longer a draft since it has been submitted and the value in the database would have been changed. I don't think there is a history that Forms can use to see what drafts existed at the time depending on where you restart the form from.

I was just about to say the same thing.

Thanks guys. From what I see the drafts are stored in the [cf_bp_worker_instnc_to_resume] table showing a draftID column.

So it seems possible to tell LF a draft existed. I'd love to see this as an enhancement in the future. Who is the best person to tag on this thread to make it a more formal feature request?

You need to add the Idea tag to your post.
