Automation of Audit Trail Reporting?

I have a Customer who is requesting the following auditor function:

Discover when an Entry has changed, Learn WHO made the Change, Compare that person with the Owner of the Entry. If the Changer is not the Owner, send an email alert.

What would be the recommended best practice to accomplish this ask?

Hi Brett,

You could achieve this in workflow, you'd just need to consider how you'd expose the document creator as a token, as initiator is already there by default.

Note however, that on a large system, tracking and comparing all these changes and reporting on them would have significant overheads, so you'd need to spec your system accordingly.

Something like this might work, but you'd need to have a play in workflow and figure this out.
