Is there a way to make "File view" toggle switch stay on in LF Web Client 11?

We have a customer using LF Web Client 11.0.2109.7. They import PDF's into the Web Client via Drag and drop. In the preview, everything looks great (the image is at normal zoom and nothing is cut off). After saving, they open the document again in the LF web client, and it opens with the image very zoomed in and the sides cut off. We notice that the "File View" toggle is off. As soon as we turn it on, we see the full image and everything looks great. However, this happens every time, and they have to toggle the "File View" switch on every single time.

Can this be set to always be on? I've looked in the options but can't find any setting for it.

Hi Tyler,

I believe what you could do is set the viewing option to 'Open electronic file'. They can still switch to the images, if needed. This setting can be found under the users 'Options' menu.

Tried that. It made no difference. Same issue.

Correction. After closing and relaunching the web client, it did resolve the issue. Thanks Jonathan!

Can this be implemented on the Everyone group as an attibute?

Yes, but it will most likely not have the desired results. When an attribute is not part of a users profile, they pick up the attribute from the everyone group and the attribute is then written to their profile. If the attribute is missing from both the user and the everyone group, the user picks up the default behavior, but it is not written to their profile.

User attributes will override group attributes. Also the default behavior viewing edocs is to open/view the edoc. So if you have users that when they open the document, they get the Laserfiche doc instead of the edoc, they have changed their attribute.

What this means is that setting the attribute to the default behavior on the everyone group will not have a visible effect.
