Audio Transcription

In the cloud, the release notes say that audio/video files will automatically be transcribed and text searchable, but I'm wondering what the timeframe is on that?  I uploaded a 28 second video last night and overnight it did not transcribe but when I clicked the "Request Transcript" it only took a minute or two and then a bit more time to index the words.

Is transcription actually automatic or do we need to request the transcript every time?  If automatic, is there any information on when that starts and about how long it takes?

It's a really cool feature, just want to know the parameters.  Thanks.

Was this in your solution provider account? Only end user accounts get transcriptions enabled by default. In a SP account, you can manually request transcription from the toolbar actions.

Yes, my testing was the SP account.  The customer is still on a demo account and it did not seem to kick off for them.  Is the demo account also request only or is it automatic?

Thanks for that information about the SP account, good to know for the future!

The demo account is also only manual.
