Laserfiche Connector & Edge

Please can someone guide me on setting up Edge with Connector.

As per the help file I need to make a change to the Target field of the Edge shortcut "--remote-debugging-port=9322", which I have done.

But I still get the "New Microsoft Edge is not configured correctly" error, even after restarting the pc.

Microsoft documentation has the debugging port as 9222, not 9322.

Sorry, i was wrong. Connector uses port 9322 in Edge so it does not conflict with Chrome when both are installed. Please add " --remote-allow-origins=localhost " as well as per KB1014436.

The issue still persists after making the changes.

My Target now looks like:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --remote-debugging-port=9322 --remote-allow-origins=localhost

I have closed all edge and connector applications and restarted them, but I still get the same error.

Hi David, 

Using the configuration, it works for me.

 

Could you please follow the steps and try it again? Thanks.

  1. Launch edge. If you can, please update it to latest version
  2. Pin Edge in taskbar (Screenshot 1),
  3. Click property to configure it (Screenshot 2)
  4. Close all Edge, and check it in task manager, no process for msedge.exe. If still have, close all msedge.exe in task manager
  5. Must launch the edge pinned in taskbar, and check the command line for the launched edge if has the argument in task manager (Screenshot 3)
  6. Try to test it.

BTW, you can also download the test utility to test it: Laserfiche Connector Test Utility - Downloads, and check if any error in  log, the log folder is in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Laserfiche Connector, please replace your real user name for UserName.
