Add Repository Drop Down to LFDSSTS Login Page

asked on May 8, 2023

Hello, does anyone know if it's possible to add a field for Repository Drop-down to the LFDS STS login page like the regular Web Client login page has?

My client has 3 repositories but they don't want to issue three separate URL's (one for each repository).

I know users can navigate to different repositories once they log in but not all users have access to every repository and so no matter which repository they choose as a default, some users won't have access to it and will get access denied when using the basic https://machine/Laserfiche URL.

They would really like to just use one URL and have users select which repository to log into from the STS login page like the Web Client login page had (but obviously whey want to keep using LFDS for authentication).

Please let me know if this is possible somehow.

Confirming. We know this is annoying.

One workaround for the Access Denied issue is to make an empty "Landing" repository that everyone has access to, then make that the Default web client repository. If anyone navigates to "/laserfiche" without a repo parameter, they'll end up in that "Landing" repo and have the repository picker available them.

You can also put a single document at the root of the Landing repo that contains instructions on how to use the repo picker to get to the desired repository.

It's a DIY repo dropdown of sorts, one step removed from the login page.
