Chromebooks for scanning into Laserfiche

posted on May 4, 2023

Does Laserfiche have any plans to have a true browser based scanning application?  We are trying to use a chromebook to backscan records into our repository.  Our workaround is to scan in a personal G drive and then import into Laserfiche.

I did set up a chromebook with Parallels software.  I loaded Laserfiche windows client 11 and was able to scan into our repository.

This is a pretty old post!  I am surprised no one has responded yet.

I am curious about the Chromebook....

What were the Specs on it?  How long did it take to work with those files?

Thanks for sharing!

I agree that it is surprising that no one has replied.  My District is trying to go all Chromebooks.  But you can't scan directly into Laserfiche on a Chromebook because you can't load the client on a Chromebook.

So you have to scan into a location on the Chromebook and then import into Laserfiche.  It basically doubles the time it takes.
