Could not connect to Quick Fields Agent on localhost. [AC0204-0] Error

asked on May 3, 2023 Show version history

After I connect the QF Agent Admin Console and connect to the local machine, I get the following error:

The QF Agent service is running and all Firewalls are turned off.

What would else should I be looking at to get around this error?

Running Quick Fields 11 Update 3.

It looks like it was permissions related. I received another error that mentioned access denied. I switched the account that was running the QF Agent to 'Local System' and that has resolved both errors.

There is a service for Laserfiche Quick Fields Agent.  If I turn it off, I can replicate your error in the QF Admin Console.  Double check your service.

I thought I put that in my post, but I apparently didn't. The service is running. I am able to restart it successfully, but still receive the same error message.

Hi @████████I am also able to replicate the error ONLY when the service is stopped.  Not sure if it helps but my settings show my remote access port to be 8092.  Maybe confirm you can connect to\from that port?

Well this is interesting. If instead of telling it to connect to 'Connect to the Quick Fields Agen service on: This computer' and instead enter the server name manually it works as expected. Not sure if that's a bug but seems weird.

That is strange.  I am not able to replicate that on LF QuickFiields 11

this just works for me.
