Scanner saving documents individually instead of bundling them in one file

asked on May 2, 2023

I have a user who is getting individual documents when she scans instead of scanning them as one file in a group. This change happened suddenly. It was working correctly until last week and now it's not.

I had her check the settings in the Document Manager panel to make sure the "Limit pages per document to" wasn't checked and set to 1. It was checked so we unchecked it.

Now, when she scans, the scans are grouped the way she expects, but once the documents are done going through the scanner, nothing shows up in the scanner interface.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

In the scanner window this little button is easily overlooked and accidentally pressed.

It can also be found as a checkbox in Options.

If I'm reading this correctly, you're saying that documents appear in the repository after she scans them but she does not get a chance to look at them in the scanning interface before manually storing them to Laserfiche? If that's the case, it sounds like LF Scanning was set to send immediately.

Scanning settings are per Laserfiche and Windows user and saved as user attributes. So, assuming the user didn't change them herself, if the scan station is shared, somebody else may have accidentally changed them. Or the user attributes were modified.

That sounds like exactly what my user is describing. They don't get a chance to review the scans in the UI.

Appreciate your help. I'm hoping this is the cause. Will come back and update if it is.
