I have a user who has issues playing audio files. No other users in the organization have issues. Only this user. They are not on web client, they use desktop. When they select the audio file a blank screen pops up, but nothing happens. They have uninstalled and reinstalled but no change.

As with most non-image file types, the Windows client relies on an installed application to play audio files. When the user opens the file, the client downloads a copy and launches the default application for that extension type. Does it seem to get that far? Or does the blank screen seem to indicate that the audio application isn't opening correctly? If you just save a copy of the audio file to the desktop and open it, is that any more successful?
It launches but it is just a blank screen. The user isn't given the option to save a copy to the desktop. Other users with access to the audio file are able to open it.
It sounds like there's a problem with the media player. What application are they trying to use to play the audio? Is it properly configured as the handler for that file extension?
