Cloud - Populating a multi-value field with multiple values when setting input values

asked on April 18, 2023

Typically anywhere your populating a multi-value field in Laserfiche, after entering one value or one set of values, you can enter another value or set of values.

However I am not seeing how I can do this when populating Workflow Input values. The input is a type of multi but after entering one value, there no option to enter another that appears under.

Hi Chad, to pass multi-values from Forms to WF, the Forms variable must be multi-valued itself, e.g. a Multiline field or Checkbox (all options), or a single-valued variable inside a collection or table, e.g. Collection>Single_line.

So in your case, if 'Software' is a collection, and 'Code' is a simple field such as Single Line or Number, your current mapping setup is correct. During runtime, if that collection has more than one row of data during submission, each row's data will get passed as multi-values to that WF token.

That part is working, but I have more values I would like to pass to this input variable. I have 4 tables of values that contain codes.

In the workflow designer, even when populating a multi-value token with another multi-value token, it allows me to add more tokens in addition.

Pass each table column as separate input parameters and combine them in workflow.

I could but it would go from 6 to 24 more inputs making the input list very long for no real need. Everywhere else when it is multi-valued, after entering one value or one set of values,  another input field shows up.
